Our Lord's Temple Church Of God In Christ

Elder Calvin F. Christian was born in Rome, NY. He accepted the Lord as his personal savior and was saved at the age of twelve. By the age of fourteen he was preaching the gospel of Jesus Christ.  Elder Christian became a licensed minister in the Church of God In Christ in 1973.  

Elder Christian moved to Houston, TX with his parents and joined Williams Memorial Temple C.O.G.I.C. He was ordained at the age of eighteen under the leadership of the late Bishop Robert E. Woodard.  In 1976 he married his lovely wife, Christine.

In October 1983,  Elder Christian and his family moved back to New York State. He was appointed by Bishop Leroy Anderson in May 1985 to be Pastor at the grand landmark church, Our Lord's Temple Church of God in Christ in Ithaca, NY. He was appointed District Superintendent of District 6 of the New York Western First Ecclesiastical Jurisdiction in our Holy Convocation August 1998 by Bishop LeRoy Anderson.

Elder Christian's focus is the Holy Word of God and that we at Our Lord's Temple are to be the lamplight for the city.

Missionary Christine Christian is the wife of Superintendent Calvin F. Christian and First Lady of the grand landmark church, Our Lord's Temple Church of God In Christ in Ithaca, NY. She also serves as First Lady of District 6 of the New York Western First Ecclesiastical Jurisdiction.

Born in New Orleans, LA. her family later moved to Houston, TX where Missionary Christian received her formal education. She accepted Jesus as her savior at the age of 9 years old and entered the ministry as a missionary in 1981.

Missionary Christian works faithfully and tirelessly alongside her husband whom she married in 1976. Missionary Christian is a dynamic speaker and multitalented. Her scope of ministry includes playing the organ, keyboard and singing. She is also the facilitator of the adult bible study class at Our Lord's Temple. Missionary Christian loves God and works diligently to please Him by spreading the gospel of Jesus Christ so that other's will come to know Him as their personal savior.

In the secular workplace, the favor of God and leadership qualities are evident in Missionary Christian's life. She is a retired Branch Manager of CFCU Community Credit Union after 29 years of service. 

Although a very busy lady, Missionary Christian is first devoted to her calling as the wife of Superintendent Calvin Christian and the mother of their only child, Jonathan Calvin.
